Welcome our New Faculty!
We are pleased to welcome four new faculty members who have joined our department in this academic year: Associate Professor Melody Pei-Yu Lo, Associate Professor Jui-Chung Yang, Assistant Professor Kuan-Ming Chen, Assistant Professor Ziho Park. We briefly introduce them in the following:
Associate Professor Melody Pei-Yu Lo received her Ph.D. of Economics from Yale University in 2006. Her research fields include game theory, economics of information, political economy, and IO. Before joining our department, she was an Assistant Professor at University of Hong Kong, Shanghai University of Economics and Finance, and Hong Kong Baptist University. She will be teaching “Statistics Microeconomic Theory” and “The Digital Economy” this year.
Associate Professor Jui-Chung Yang received his Ph.D. of Economics from Texas A&M University in 2014. His research fields include nonparametric econometrics, machine learning, and climate change. Before joining our department, he was an Assistant Professor of National Tsing Hua University. He will be teaching “Statistics with Recitation,” “Introductory Econometrics with Recitation” and “Machine Learning and Econometrics” this year.
Assistant Professor Kuan-Ming Chen received his Ph.D. of Economics from University of Chicago in 2021. His research fields include labor economics, and applied econometrics. He will be visiting National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) as a postdoctoral research fellow this year.
Assistant Professor Ziho Park received his Ph.D. of Economics from University of Chicago in 2021. His research fields include international trade, macroeconomics, and urban economics. He will be teaching “Trade Theory” this year.
